Arsenal are preparing for a transformative summer transfer window, with versatile forward Leandro Trossard potentially heading for the exit door at the Emirates Stadium.

Gunners Prepare to Sell Trossard as Contract Enters Final Year

Despite ending a 22-year wait for the Premier League title, the Gunners refuse to rest on their laurels.

The club wants to build a lasting dynasty, and that means making ruthless decisions both in terms of incoming signings and outgoings.

According to reports, Arsenal will listen to offers for Trossard when the transfer window reopens.

The 31-year-old Belgian international enters the final year of his contract this summer, and that contractual situation has pushed the club toward sanctioning a possible departure.

Trossard joined Arsenal from Brighton in January 2023 for just £20 million upfront, plus £7 million in add-ons. That fee now looks like a bargain.

The forward has made 174 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 36 goals and providing 34 assists many of them arriving in crucial, game-changing moments.

Mikel Arteta has previously heaped praise on the attacker.

Back in 2024, the Arsenal manager called Trossard “a little magician,” adding:

“He can score on any surface. He’s so composed, so cool, and can play in different positions. It’s a joy to have him in the team.”

However, sentiment will not drive Arsenal’s summer decisions. Premier League rivals and European clubs have already shown interest in the experienced forward.

The Gunners recognise a clear area for improvement: the forward line lacks the explosive firepower to blow opponents away.

The left wing, in particular, has not delivered the same consistency as Bukayo Saka provides on the right.

Moving on a cult hero like Trossard would signal Arsenal’s intent to evolve and reach the next level.

If Trossard departs, Arsenal must find a replacement who can immediately fill his role and elevate the team further.
