The England international has played second fiddle to David Raya throughout the season since he arrived at Emirates from Brentford on a season-long loan deal.
Ramsdale has been a key player for the North London side over the past two seasons and helped them challenge for the Premier League title last term.
Earlier Mikel Arteta suggested that both goalkeepers will battle for the No.1 spot, but it’s clear by now that Raya is ahead in the pecking order.
The Gunners have an option to make Raya’s stay permanent in the summer which would definitely force Ramsdale out of the Emirates.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea who are keen to offload Robert Sanchez in the summer.
Chelsea are eager to land the Arsenal outcast and will be looking for a way out but Fabrizio Romano has played down conjectures about the shot-stopper.
“Despite more Ramsdale to Chelsea stories, there is nothing to report at this point, to be honest,” Romano said.
“In January when we had rumours on Ramsdale and Chelsea I was told: no interest. We will see what happens in the summer but Chelsea are not working on Ramsdale or any other goalkeeper deal right now.”
