And we all have to agree that it is a well-deserved award to be presented. The Celtic has started 7 times out of 8 in all games since the Premier League restart – and has delivered just as well.
“Everybody loves him at the club and it is not a coincidence: he earns that every single day, the way he treats people, the way he works around the way, the energy he brings to the place,” said the boss.
“And then with his performances I am delighted. He has adapted really, really well. He is a player that gives you everything in every session and every game and the quality as well that he is adding.”
Even former Arsenal head coach George Graham has showered praise on Tierney – admitting that he is a great part of the squad and brings a lot to the field.
“When I first went to Arsenal, I knew I had to rebuild the club – and that was the kind of player I wanted to bring in. You look at a player like Tierney and you get the feeling that he will give everything on the park. He has that will to win and you can’t coach that desire,” said the 75-year-old.
“But, yeah, it definitely just shows that he has his feet firmly on the ground and I think right now that is what Arsenal need.”
“Players like that who are hungry and want to just focus on their football. Every team needs to have players like that.”
Congratulations Tierney!
