Ex-Arsenal player Pablo Mari gets stabbed in Milan

Pablo Mari was stabbed in a supermarket in Italy.

Arsenal defender Pablo Mari is currently on loan at Monza and got stabbed last night at Italy.

He was one of the six people attacked by a 46-year-old man and sadly one man died from injuries sustained in the attack.

The 29-year-old defender is expected to undergo a surgery and could be back to training very soon.

Monza CEO Adriano Galliani and coach Raffaele Palladin has given some insights on the incident.

Galliani and Palladino said: “I was with the trolley with my child inside and I felt an excruciating pain in my back. Then that man stabbed another in the throat.

“I had suerte [luck]. I saw a person die in front of me.”

Galliani himself also said: “Pablo is an amazing guy. He had the strength to joke, telling me that he will be on the field on Monday. I brought him greetings from President Berlusconi and everyone. The comrades, who would have liked to come here even though, obviously, it was not possible.”
