The latest reports suggest Arsenal players have started to turn on Unai Emery’s management style.
The Gunners have gone 6 games in the Premier League without a win and it has started to cause issues in the dressing room.
“The problem is the coach,” a source told The Telegraph (cited from the Metro). “He still makes bad decisions and changes his tactics. There is no identity to the team and the players do not see any progress.
“The recent performances and results have had a big impact on the belief of the squad. Does anybody still think they can qualify for the Champions League under the coach? I don’t think so.”
Arsenal dropped down to the 8th spot of the Premier League after Saturday’s home draw against Southampton. The fact that Jose Mourinho has taken charge of Tottenham and already delivered an away win in his first game has further caused commotion within the Gunners base.
“Mourinho taking over at Tottenham has only made it worse,” a source told The Telegraph. “He may not be to everyone’s liking, but he is a winner and Spurs have made it clear they want to win.
“Unai Emery is not seen as a coach on the same level as [Pep] Guardiola, [Jurgen] Klopp or even Mourinho. Frank Lampard has already built an identity at Chelsea and Brendan Rodgers is doing very well at Leicester. All of this puts more pressure on him.”
