Arsenal are reportedly making significant strides in their efforts to sign Real Madrid’s Brazilian forward, Rodrygo, as they aim to bolster their attacking options ahead of the 2025–26 season.

According to Sky Germany, the Gunners are “seriously considering” a move for the 24-year-old, with preliminary talks already underway.
Rodrygo’s future at the Santiago Bernabeu has come under scrutiny following the arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick, leading to increased competition in Real Madrid’s attacking lineup.
Despite his contributions of 13 goals and 10 assists in 50 appearances last season, the Brazilian international is reportedly feeling overshadowed and is open to exploring new opportunities.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is believed to be a keen admirer of Rodrygo’s versatility and flair.
The forward’s ability to operate across various attacking positions could provide the Gunners with the depth and dynamism they’ve been seeking, especially after narrowly missing out on the Premier League title for the third consecutive year.
However, securing Rodrygo’s signature won’t be straightforward. Real Madrid are reportedly demanding a fee in the region of £82.7 million (€100 million) for the player, who is under contract until 2028.
Additionally, Arsenal would need to offer a competitive wage package, with estimates suggesting a weekly salary exceeding £200,000.
The North London club faces stiff competition, with Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool also expressing interest in the Brazilian.
Manchester City have reportedly made contact with Rodrygo’s representatives, further intensifying the race for his signature.
Despite the challenges, Arsenal remain optimistic. The club is reportedly prepared to explore all avenues to bring Rodrygo to the Emirates Stadium, viewing him as a marquee signing who can elevate their attacking prowess and provide the cutting edge needed to clinch silverware in the upcoming season.
