According to the Express, Arsenal are looking to sign PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer. Rabiot hasn’t played a single match for PSG for nearly two months now. Ever since he started in a league game against Strasbourg, the midfielder hasn’t even been in Thomas Tuchel’s squad for any of the matches that have followed.

Rabiot is on the brink of leaving PSG and it seemed that he would join Barcelona. However, that move hasn’t materialised yet. Liverpool also showed interest in the Frenchman. Not long back, rumour was that Rabiot turned down Spurs and is holding out for an offer from Liverpool.

Now, another club has joined the race to join the 23-year old and it is Arsenal. Arsenal boss Unai Emery wants to bolster the club’s midfield. The Gunners signed Denis Suarez on loan a few days back but they need more reinforcements as Aaron Ramsey might join Juventus in the summer.

Rabiot was a regular under Emery during the Spaniard’s spell at PSG. Hence, he will try to persuade Rabiot to join Arsenal. A move to Arsenal may provide Rabiot more game time compared to a move to Barcelona. Hence, a bid from Arsenal might intrigue Rabiot.
