The Gunners have already spent over £200m in this summer window, making Declan Rice the most expensive British player in history.
They are now interested in signing Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz who is currently on the radar of arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Last summer, Arsenal made several bids for the 25-year-old midfielder and Aston Villa reportedly rejected an offer of £25 million before the transfer deadline.
But Luiz went on to sign a new long-term contract with the Villans.
According to the Sun, Arsenal are back in the hunt for the 25-year-old Brazilian midfielder.
Arsenal are currently assessing Thomas Partey’s future who is expected to move to Saudi Arabia in a few weeks.
Mikel Arteta recently hinted that Declan Rice could be the new No.6 which could urge Partey to move on this summer.
Luiz could be a perfect backup off the bench and can give Arsenal more defensive assurance.
