Arsenal have prepared a new bid for Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha where they will offer Palace three of their place and £40 million in exchange for Zaha.
Arsenal had a bid of £40 million for Zaha rejected as Crystal Palace value him at £100 million according to the Daily Mail. According to The Sun, Arsenal are willing to offer Crystal Palace £40 million plus Callum Chambers, Carl Jenkinson and Mohamed Elneny in exchange for Zaha.
The Gunners value the aforementioned three players at £40 million which would raise their overall bid to £80 million.
Unai Emery wants to bolster Arsenal’s squad next season but he has a very low transfer budget which is reportedly £40 million. Hence, the best way for Arsenal to sign Zaha is by letting go of players.
Zaha was one of Crystal Palace’s best players last season, scoring 10 goals and providing as many assists in 36 appearances across all competitions. The Ivorian forward still has four years remaining on his current contract which he signed less than a year back.
Following the departure of Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United, Crystal Palace will certainly not be willing to let go of Zaha.
Zaha is currently with Ivory Coast national team at the AFCON. The 26-year old is having a fine tournament as of now, scoring 2 goals in 4 matches. His most recent goal against Mali took Ivory Coast in the AFCON quarter-finals where they will face Algeria.
