Arsenal are apparently prepared to offer €30m for Alvaro Morata
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are interested in signing former Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window
The Atletico Madrid player has been on loan at Juventus for two seasons, and while the Old Lady would like to buy him, they only want to pay €15 million (plus bonuses) after spending €20 million on his loan arrangement.
Morata is hesitant to return to England following his time with Chelsea.
The 29-year-old attacker has 11 goals and eight assists in 44 appearances this season, giving him a total of 58 goals (38 assists) in 181 games in Turin.
Morata has scored 179 goals and assisted on 73 others in 492 appearances over his career.
To put that into perspective, Alexandre Lacazette, 30, who isn’t seen as deadly enough in front of goal by many, has 200 goals, and 79 assists, in 477 games.
The 29-year-old is currently on loan at Juventus, and the Italian giants are apparently interested in making his loan contract from Atletico permanent.
Morata scored 16 goals in 47 Premier League games for Chelsea.
So far this season, the striker has eight goals and six assists in 24 Serie A appearances for Juventus.
During the summer transfer window, Arsenal will need to recruit at least two new strikers.So, It would be interesting to see what the Gunners have planned for this.
