Mikel Arteta eyeing a move for Dominic Solanke this January.

The Gunners are in the market for a new centre-forward as first-choice striker Gabriel Jesus is not guaranteed to score 20-25 goals in a season.

The club will definitely need a prolific forward in front of goal and Mikel Arteta has considered a few options this January window.

Arsenal are plotting a move for 26-year-old Bournemouth forward Dominic Solanke who has gone from strength to strength since joining the club in 2019.

Solanke has been in impressive form for the Cherries scoring 13 goals across all competitions and will be a more reliable finisher in the Arsenal roster.

His contract with Cherries expires in the summer of 2027 and the club is expected to demand in excess of £45m for the striker.

His performances have earned him his debut for the England senior team which has enhanced his credibility as a striker further.

Arsenal would face stiff competition from their North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur who are yet to sign a direct replacement for Harry Kane.

Gabriel Jesus has struggled to find the back of the net consistently and has netted just three times in the league this season.
