Arsenal reach an agreement to sign Tommy Setford from Ajax

The 18-year-old currently plays for the Ajax B team and England’s youth team.

Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign Tommy Setford from Ajax as a new goalkeeper. The Gunners were keen to get the signature of a backup goalkeeper. They were monitoring him since long.

The North London club have finally secured an agreement to add him to their squad. Mikel Arteta currently has two options and they want the third goalkeeper now.

Aaron Ramsdale could potentially leave due to the less time at Emirates since the signing of David Raya. Setford is being signed to replace the Englishman.

As per the reports of the Daily Mail, Arsenal has finally reached an agreement to sign him from Ajax. They are sure that this young gun could be the future prospect.

The 18-year-old currently plays for the Ajax B team and England’s youth team. It is widely believed that he will soon be ready for senior team football.

The Gunners want to setup their team and are ready to take the chance. Tommy Setford will not be involved in the first team immediately, but if he goes to the U21s, the first-team chances will arise.
