Arsenal will soon make an announcement on the potential signing of Real Sociedad striker Mikel Merino. As per reports, the Gunners are on the verge of securing a deal for the Spanish forward. He has reached a verbal agreement with Arsenal.
Merino’s future is uncertain and he is highly linked with Arsenal. The Euro 2024 winner will join the Gunners this month. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 28-year-old is now on the verge of securing a return to Premier League.
Romano adds that Arsenal have agreed to pay €32m plus €5m in add-ons for the Spaniard. He is set to sign a contract at the Emirates until the summer of 2028.
