Arsenal could be open to offers for Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan when the transfer window opens in the summer.
The Gunners have failed to finish in the top four this season and their only hope to participate in the Champions League is by winning the Europa League title. The Gunners are favourite to book a place in the final following their 3-1 win over Valencia in the Europa League semifinal first leg.
But Unai Emery has already started chalking plans for the summer and a number of players could be seen leaving the Emirates. The likes of Aaron Ramsey, Danny Welbeck and Petr Cech have confirmed their departures and few others could follow their suit.
Both Ozil and Mkhitaryan are far from impressive and could be given the sack. Former manager Wenger gave the German playmaker a new contract worth £350,000 but it hasn’t panned out the way everyone would have hoped.
There has been immense frustration within the club regarding Ozil’s inconsistency and a decision will be taken by Emery. Also, budget restraints have been a major problem for the Gunners for some time and offloading these players would free a whole lot of wages which could be used more efficiently.
