Arsenal open to selling Eddie Nketiah as West Ham eyes summer move
Arsenal has reportedly made a decisive move regarding the future of Eddie Nketiah, with West Ham United eyeing the young striker for a potential summer transfer.
Amidst uncertainties surrounding Nketiah’s role at Arsenal, the Gunners are said to be open to selling the forward, providing an opportunity for West Ham to swoop in.
Writing on X, journalist Graeme Bailey claims that Arsenal are ready to sell Nketiah as West Ham eye a summer move for him.
David Moyes’ West Ham has been in dire need of bolstering their striking options, with the club failing to secure a new forward during the January transfer window.
With only Michail Antonio and Danny Ings at their disposal, the absence of a prolific striker has been glaring. Antonio’s recurring injury concerns and Ings’ underwhelming performances have left Moyes eager for reinforcements.
Nketiah, who has primarily featured off the bench for Arsenal this season, hasn’t solidified his position in Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup. Despite tallying five league goals, his lack of consistent game time has raised doubts about his future at the North London club.
With West Ham reportedly interested in acquiring Nketiah’s services, Arsenal’s readiness to sell could pave the way for a potential £43 million deal.
Although his price tag may seem steep given his limited playing time and output, West Ham sees Nketiah as a valuable addition to bolster their attacking lineup for the upcoming season.
