Arsenal Ready To Swap Hector Bellerin For This Juventus OutcastSome very questionable sources from Italy claim Arsenal are prepared to send Hector Bellerin Juventus’ way for Merih Demiral.
One can hardly fathom the daftness of this rumour but it is what it is.
Arsenal are interested in Demiral – there is some truth in that. The Turkishman has hardly featured for the Old Lady ever since his £16m switch from Sassuolo last summer. He is clearly not in Maurizio Sarri’s plans who prefers the likes of Matthijs de Ligt, Leonardo Bonucci and Daniel Rugani over him.
Demiral is still only 21 years old and already a starting player for his national side. He has shown the promise of starring at top level and the ability to grow further, just like his Turkey centre-back partner, Caglar Soyuncu. Arsenal have lesser chances of getting their hands on the Leicester City man but more on Demiral.
However, it is ludicrous to believe they will hand over Bellerin in return for a centre-half. The Spaniard is the club’s first choice and the only right-back currently in the squad. Ainsley Maitland-Niles is a make-shift backup. Plus, it is also hard to believe the board is taking transfer decisions without appointing a permanent manager yet.
