Arsenal are reportedly pressing for Aaron Ramsdale’s transfer this summer.
Sheffield United boss Slavisa Jokanovic is due to hold talks with the goalkeeper after the 2020 European Championships end.
According to plenty of sources, Arsenal are closely monitoring Ramsdale’s situation in Sheffield. Having recently faced relegation from the Premier League, the young shotstopper will be eager to move back to the Premiership somehow. And a move to an institution like Arsenal would be a dream.
Mikel Arteta wants a different breed of goalkeeper than Bernd Leno. Not to say that the German has not been adquate during his three years at the Emirates, somehow Leno still lacks what Arteta wants from him.
Ramsdale could be that man to lead Arsenal’s backline despite being 23-years-old. He was one of the standout performers in what was a poor campaign from Sheffield. His pedigree earned him a place in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the European Championships.
