Arsenal told to try signing Ivan Toney next summer

Ivan Toney’s omission from the Brentford team for Sunday’s match against Crystal Palace has been confirmed by manager Thomas Frank as the result of “a lot of transfer interest.” In the last year of his contract, Toney expressed his desire to depart the Bees, who are demanding £60 million for their lucky charm.

The 28-year-old has been strongly connected to leaving the west London club, and it’s been said that Manchester United and Arsenal are keeping an eye on him. Due to persistent rumours that Toney would depart the Bees this summer, Frank decided to leave him off the roster. Toney has apparently also had conversations over a lucrative switch to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli.

Micah Richards and Gary Lineker agree that Arsenal should buy super talented player

Naturally, a lot of discussion regarding Arsenal’s need to acquire a new striker who can score goals will still take place before the transfer market closes this month. Micah Richards and Gary Lineker concurred that Ivan Toney will still contribute to Arteta’s initiative following their conversation about Arsenal’s victory over Wolves on the “The Rest is Football” podcast this past weekend.

Richards initiated the subject on the show by stating that he had heard Toney might be available for just £15 million due to his contract situation. You know who I’ve gone by, Richards? Ivan Toney wasn’t included on the team.

“I understand he had poor form towards the end of last season when he returned from the ban, but in terms of what he can offer in something different for Arsenal, I think he’d be a good fit. Like for £15m, the player was talking about £70m two seasons ago.”
