Sunday’s 3-0 success over Fulham marked Arsenal’s 100th triumph under Mikel Arteta’s leadership

At Craven Cottage, goals from Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, and Gabriel Magalhaes gave them a comfortable and well-earned win. The outcome showed how far the Gunners have come under the Spanish manager’s guidance by pushing them five points ahead of Manchester City at the summit of the Premier League standings.

Arteta resigned from his position as assistant manager at Manchester City towards the close of 2019 to accept the position as head coach at Arsenal. On New Year’s Day 2020 at the Emirates Stadium, he defeated Manchester United 2-0 for his first victory. Although his team struggled during the coronavirus pandemic that lasted for half a year, Arteta concluded his debut campaign with a trophy after winning the FA Cup.

But under Arteta, Arsenal originally struggled in the Premier League, consistently finishing in eighth place. They achieved a great deal during the 2021/22 season, but competitor Tottenham overtook them in the battle for the top four, forcing them to finish fifth.

Arsenal currently leads the table with just 11 games remaining, according to Arteta and his players, who have gained more notoriety as a result of the club’s Amazon Prime All or Nothing documentary. They claimed that this late heartbreak has motivated them to become championship contenders this season.

They have a chance to win the UEFA Europa League for the first time as well; earlier this week, they drew 2-2 away at Sporting CP in the first half of their round of 16 match.
