Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is on the radar of Marseille and his future is still uncertain. The Ligue 1 giants made a solid offer to get the Englishman on board.
The North London club have rejected a fresh bid from Marseille for striker Eddie Nketiah. He has spent his entire senior career with Arsenal after joining the club’s academy from Chelsea in 2015.
The 25-year-old has made 168 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 28 goals and providing seven assists. He started seven of Arsenal’s first eight top-flight games last season. Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz are two priorities for Arsenal.
The Englishman wants to leave the club and find a new challenge. Marseille have signed forward Mason Greenwood from Manchester United and they want one more key player in this position. They have identified Nketiah as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who is going to the Middle East.
Nketiah has already agreed personal terms with Marseille. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners have refused Marseille’s latest offer which is said to be in the region of €27m.
As per reports, the North London club could demand £40m to £50m for their academy product. Arsenal are looking to receive £30m for the Englishman who is under contract until June 2027.
