Arsenal have opened their bidding for Real Madrid winger, Lucas Vazquez at £28m amidst their pursuit of Wilfried Zaha.
Crystal Place have rejected Arsenal’s initial bid of £40m outright and are waiting for their valuation of £70-80m being met.
Zaha has already expressed a strong desire to move to the Emirates but it all depends on the two clubs to hash out a transfer fee. Meanwhile, Unai Emery is focusing a part of his efforts to get Vazquez out of Madrid.
He needs to sign a winger and if he can get one within his budget constraints, there would be no need to go the extra length to sign Zaha. The 26-year-old might be fully drilled in the Premier League but his asking price is way over Arsenal’s actual transfer budget.
Emery will have to seek out every penny he can find to facilitate his move from the Eagles. Exhausting all of his resources on just one player is not ideal for the Spanish boss and he knows it.
Vazquez could be a decent addition into this Gunners side, especially when all the team needs on the attacking front is a traditional winger. The 28-year-old is the very essence of a low maintenance wide man who will be able to support the offensive threat of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Wilfried Zaha.
