After previously failing to sign the 21-year-old midfielder from Brighton, Arsenal and Chelsea are allegedly still interested in Moises Caicedo and may make a move for the player during the summer transfer window
In January, Caicedo was in the sights of both London clubs, but Brighton turned down their offers, causing the Ecuadorian to remain at the AMEX. Sky Sports claims that the Gunners made the biggest offer of £70 million, but the Seagulls held out for more.
The amount of money that would persuade Brighton to split ways with the 21-year-old in the summer is unknown, but Football Insider reports that the two London clubs are still interested in making a transfer.
Brighton is reportedly expecting offers for the midfielder throughout the forthcoming transfer window, despite the fact that he has signed a new deal through 2027.
Since Mikel Arteta uses a double pivot, Caicedo’s profile would best fit Arsenal. Caicedo has been very impressive this season for Brighton. The 21-year-old would be the ideal match for the Arsenal style, and the Brighton star would offer sufficient protection for Zinchenko’s frequent forward movement.
An exciting move to Arsenal for the 21-year-old could result from Chelsea’s current state, which is unlikely to improve by the start of the upcoming season.
