Arsenal are the latest club to enter the race for the signature of Girona left-back Miguel Gutierrez.
Arsenal are reportedly set to rival Man United for the signature of Miguel Gutierrez this summer. The left-back has made 10 senior appearances after breaking through from their academy, before joining Girona in 2022.
The 22-year-old has since established himself as a first-team regular with Girona. He helped his side to fight out against Real Madrid for the title race.
Gutierrez has since started 26 top-flight matches this season for Michel’s side, scoring once and registering four assists. A fresh report claims that they also have the option to re-sign the defender for just €8m this summer.
Real Madrid and Man United have been credited with an interest in Gutierrez. He is under contract at Girona until June 2027.
As per the reports of Fichajes, the Gunners are the latest club to enter the race for the signature of this talented defender.
The report adds that Man United have identified him as their top target. Erik ten Hag’s men are determined to sign him to Old Trafford this summer. Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are injured so he could help the Dutch coach in this position.
Meanwhile., Arteta has used Oleksandr Zinchenko at left-back this season alongside Jakub Kiwior and Takehiro Tomiyasu. Jurrien Timber is regarded as another left-sided option and he is back after ACL recovery.
