Arsenal are reportedly closing on a deal for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez as negotiations are on the last stage.
Arsenal have been trying to find alternatives in this month and have identified the 25 year old as a potential reinforcement to bolster their midfield. Barcelona have been very keen on a permanent deal but Unai Emery made it pretty clear they would go for short term loan deals only as they cannot afford permanent transfers due to their heavy spending in the summer.
Suarez has played very little this season and has been pushing for a move to the Emirates. The midfielder is dying to get some game time under his belt and is eager to reunite with his former manager Emery with whom he worked at Sevilla.
Incidentally, the midfielder was at Manchester City for a brief period but failed to make any mark in the Premier League so he might have some unfinished business on the English soil.
The Gunners will have the option to make the move permanent if needed and with Aaron Ramsey leaving at the end of this season it might provide Emery with some much needed leverage in near future.
