Arsenal has been lucky to have Ethan Nwaneri as an attacking option because he has been playing well. As the team struggles with injuries, the young talent has come into its own at a critical moment for the Gunners. The timing of his progress could not have been more ideal, since Mikel Arteta has been forced to rely on a smaller group of attackers due to the absence of several important players in Arsenal’s frontline.

In the past few weeks, players like Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard have played a lot and had little time to relax. Despite the general expectation that they would bolster their assault during the January transfer window, Arsenal ended up without adding any new attackers. Arteta has thus been unable to switch up his attacking options as often as he would have wanted.

The arrival of Myles Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri, however, has given the team a welcome boost. In Bukayo Saka’s absence, Nwaneri in particular has stepped up, displaying remarkable poise and technical skill. His ability to score goals has sparked rumors that he would be utilized as a primary striker, giving Havertz a break during a busy schedule.

Arsenal use Nwaneri in the striker role

Ethan Nwaneri is among the world’s most gifted young athletes. Every time he has played for the Gunners this season, the 17-year-old has impressed. In their most recent game, he also had a spectacular cameo against Manchester City, scoring a spectacular goal late in the match to make it 5-1. When facing the senior pros, Nwaneri has done so without fear. Additionally, he has been utilized in a variety of roles and appears to be a natural fit on the greatest stage.

Initially an offensive midfielder, Arteta moved Nwaneri to the right wing to replace Bukayo Saka, and the teenager has performed admirably in that role. Arteta, however, has stated openly that the young player’s clinical skill in front of goal makes him a potential striker.

According to talkSPORT, Arteta said in a December speech that “Ethan can play as a right attacking midfielder, left attacking midfielder, and right winger, and there is another position he can develop into in a few years time.” The manager of Arsenal said, “Nine,” when asked what the other position is. He just looks at the objective that is in front of him. He has the most ease when it comes to putting the ball in the net.
