According to Football.London, Arsenal have reportedly shown interest in Brazilian ace Gabriel Martinelli, who has been held in highest regards as one of the best performing young players in the country. The Gunners have been in pursuit of a quality forward for some time now and this might be an end to their search.
The 17-year-old is currently plying his trade for the Campeonato Paulista outfit Ituano and has been highly rated by a number of experts for his skills. He is also a versatile player who can put in a shift as a secondary striker but is more comfortable while playing as a winger, just what Arsenal need right now.
The Gunners have found it difficult to get a proper winger since the departure of Alexis Sanchez, which has hindered their progress in all competitions this season. Though Unai Emery has brought in a good player in the form of Denis Suarez in the January transfer market, the Spaniard has severely underperformed this season so far, leaving Emery with no options but to keep him on the sidelines on most occasions.
The Brazilian ace is expected to be a good inclusion to the side if the Gunners could land him in the summer transfer market. However, given his inexperience at the top level of English football, it is to be seen whether the north London club go in for him or not.
