Despite reaching yet another Arsenal milestone, Bukayo Saka maintains that he is enjoying his return to the England fold. In 200 Premier League games, the 24-year-old attacker has already contributed 100 goals (55 goals, 45 assists) thanks to his spectacular penalty against West Ham.

Having already shown his brutality as Three Lions manager by benching Real Madrid player Jude Bellingham from his team this week, Saka has now expressed his desire to make a difference for his nation in an attempt to make up for lost time.

I’m overjoyed to be playing for England once more. Since many of the games I’ve missed under Tuchel have been due to injuries, I’m not happy about that.

Bukayo Saka eager to make Thomas Tuchel impression

Tuchel was questioned after he announced the squad whether Saka would have been left out if Noni Madueke, an Arsenal teammate, had not hurt his knee against Manchester City. “There’s a chance,” the German retorted. Though I doubt I would have, you will never know now.

Tuchel went on when questioned if Saka would have comprehended the choice, saying, “He would have had no other choice.” England’s World Cup qualifying match against Latvia begins Thursday with a friendly match against Wales at Wembley.

Despite suffering a knock to his left ankle on Saturday, Saka, who has already returned from a hamstring problem this season, managed to get on the scoreboard. The talisman for the Gunners is prepared to continue fighting through the pain barrier.

Saka has missed the last nine England games because of injury, and he has only played once. With 12 goals in 44 Three Lions games, his flawless international record speaks for itself, and Tuchel still needs to select him before the World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico next summer.

He has only, amazingly, been a part of one camp under Tuchel so far, and it was marred by the unexpected 3-1 friendly loss to Senegal at the City Ground in June at the close of the previous campaign.
