The player is unhappy with his role in the squad
Alexandre Lacazette joined Arsenal from Lyon for a club record fee of €53 million plus up to €7 million in potential bonuses last summer, signing a 5 year contract. He developed himself as one of the forwards in Europe during his time in France.
However, the France International struggled to continue his rich form in England as he took some time to adapt in the Premier League. Injuries also limited his game but still managed to score 14 goals in 38 Premier League appearances.
The Gunners signed Pierre-Emerick Aubayemeng from Borussia Dortmund during the January transfer window which increased the competition in the Starting Xi. However, Arsene Wenger used to play them together in most of the matches towards the end of the campaign.
But the 27 year old missed out a place in the France World Cup squad after a mixed campaign last season. Les Bleus went to lift the trophy after, their first since 1998.
The striker has got off to a slow life under new manager Unai Emery as he has found himself on the bench for all three of club’s Premier League games this season. The Spaniard has preferred Aubayemeng ahead of him so far.
Alexandre Lacazette is considering leaving Arsenal this month, Le10 Sport reports.
The team selections have reportedly left him concerned about whether his future lies at the Emirates or not and does not expect to be given a chance in the starting XI this season.
The striker’s representative has reportedly already been in touch to notify clubs of his situation with the European transfer window still open.
The London Outfit are most likely to not sell him this summer and would like to keep him atleast till January, when they find a replacement for him.
