Report says that Arsenal and Fulham are close to reaching an agreement to trade Emile Smith Rowe for £35. Though both Fulham and Crystal Palace were anticipated to come back with better offers, Arsenal has already turned down proposals from both clubs this month.

Arsenal turned down Fulham’s previous offer of £30 million, but Palace was allegedly developing a new offer for the 23-year-old that would have cost £35 million plus add-ons. Nevertheless, Fulham have maneuvered themselves into a position to buy Smith Rowe, according to a late-night report from The Athletic, and they are currently nearing an agreement with Arsenal.

According to the report, Smith Rowe still has to complete his medical and personal terms with Fulham before joining the West London team.

Arsenal on the verge of selling versatile attacker who Mikel Arteta loves

With Smith Rowe about to depart, Arsenal’s finances would see a gain, giving them more leeway to maneuver in the transfer market. Injury and inconsistent play have impeded Smith Rowe’s progress at the Emirates, where he was once hailed as one of the best players to graduate from Arsenal’s Hale End Academy.

Despite the manager calling him a player he loves back in April, he has also dropped in Mikel Arteta’s lineup. The player’s wish to quit the team has been influenced by his lack of playing time, even though Fulham can provide regular first-team action.

Transfer is still pending the completion of personal terms between Fulham and Smith Rowe as well as a medical clearance.
