On October 30, 2022, at Emirates Stadium in a Premier League game between Arsenal FC and Nottingham Forest, Reiss Nelson of Arsenal scored his team’s third goal. Reiss Nelson hasn’t played frequently for Arsenal this year, but Mikel Arteta’s team has been giving him more opportunities lately.
Prior to the beginning of November, the winger had only made one start in all competitions this season, but after his standout substitute performance against Nottingham Forest on October 30, he subsequently made two starts in a row.
Nelson has contributed to two goals and two assists from just 315 minutes on the field, or one goal per 79 minutes. He is currently taking a chance as a result.
However, Nelson’s long-term future is still uncertain because he has seven months left on his Arsenal contract.
The player says he wants to stay since he thinks he’s becoming better at the Gunners. Nelson has previously expressed a wish to extend his contract with Arsenal. He made a similar statement after his standout performance against Nottingham Forest. Yet there have been no significant developments regarding a new agreement.
