Arsenal had a very busy summer as Unai Emery was appointed as the new manager of the club after Arsene Wenger decided to leave the club after 22 years. The Spaniard signed a three-year deal worth £15 million.
He was given the charge with the task of rebuilding the squad and returning the club to the European elite while challenging for other major honours, after they finished sixth in the Premier League last season resulting in missing the Champions League for the second consecutive season.
After losing their opening two fixtures under the Spaniard against Manchester City and Chelsea, Gunners boast a 100 per cent record since in all the competitions.
Despite not being at their best against Watford on Saturday, they won the match 2-0. The win was a fifth in a row in the Premier League, with victories in the Europa League and Carabao Cup adding up to an impressive run for the London Outfit.
Rob Holding believes Emery has installed a winning mentality at the club as they secured a seventh successive victory.
“He said when he came in that he wanted to bring a winning mentality and I think you get that from wins and you go into each game confident,” the defender said as quoted by the Independent.
“We’re physically fit and we know that we can go and get the result. It was a really competitive and physical game and we knew that coming in.
“We just had to stand up to the battle and late on I think they tired and we managed to get a few passes together and score the goals.”
