Arsenal are back to scouting Cagliari midfielder, Nicolo Barella over a potential move to the Emirates this summer.
The Gunners were reported to have watched the player in the 2-1 victory against Inter Milan in February. Barella put in a solid performance other than missing a penalty kick in that fixture.
Unai Emery’s men were also noticed in the 0-2 defeat against Juventus on Tuesday night. With the season about to end, the Gunners are stepping up their interests in Barella as they move closer to losing Aaron Ramsey as well.
Arsenal were in action against Newcastle United this past Monday where Ramsey yet again turned out to be an influential figure. He scored one of the two goals to help get his side the win and push them up to the third spot of the Premier League.
Emery still maintains the notion over how important the Welshman really is in this Arsenal squad. Finding a replacement is turning out to be an absolute necessity for the upcoming campaign.
Barella scored his first goal for Italy against Finland this past month, collecting his fifth cap for his country. He has also gained experience through 89 appearances in the Serie A.
