Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sent Arsenal fans into a fit when he liked an Instagram video, calling the Arsenal manager a puppet.
A video of AFTV featured a post where one of their most usual spokesmen, Claude stated that Unai Emery has no real power at Arsenal and he is only their as a play piece for the hierarchy.
Of course, the statements have been made in light of the recent revelations, claiming Arsenal will only have £45m in their bank to sign players this summer. This is a huge matter of concern for the club supporters after the season they just witnessed.
The Gunners missed out of Champions League football yet again, through a 5th place Premier League finish and losing out embarrassingly to Chelsea in the Europa League final.
To make matters worse, the North London outfit’s highest goalscorer last season, Aubameyang, has been linked with a move away to China. The Gabon international is being lured with a £300,000-per-week package and his thoughts on the current situation at Arsenal is extremely worrying.
In the video of Arsenal Fan TV, Claude said, “I don’t see where he’s got any control at all, whether he’ll get the players he wants. I think he’s probably there as a puppet for the board.”
Aubameyang was noticed pledging his support to this statement. Arsenal have already passed a resolution that they will not be keeping players on with contracts with two years or less.
The 29-year-old currently has only a couple more seasons left on his deal and he could very well move on for a sizeable fee this offseason.
