Arsenal have made it clear that they will have a busy final week in the transfer market.

The Gunners have made some shrewd deals over the summer but lack creativity and spine in their midfield. Two players who are high up on their order are Houssem Aouar of Lyon and Thomas Partey of Atletico Madrid.

While Madrid are demanding £45 million for Partey, Aouar is expected to cost somewhere between £50m and £60m. However, the Gunners, despite agreeing personal terms with the player have not yet made an acceptable bid for Lyon.

The president of the French club has told the media that they expect more than Arsenal’s current offer for the player.

“We know that three big clubs are interested in him. Two in the short-term, one in the long-term,” Aulas said.

“Not much has happened. All the clubs can’t give us financially what Lyon wants.”

Aouar will bring in some much needed creativity to that midfield. He also has the ability to develop into an overall number 8 who can track back as well. The French international is after all only 22 years old.

With only a week to go in the transfer market, Arsenal will have to act quickly now!
