Arsenal might not be the favourites to sign Dominick Szoboszlai.
Hungary’s head coach, Marco Rossi spoke about the midfielder’s potential move to the Bundesliga.
He told CalcioNapoli24 TV via CalcioMercato: “I’ve never talked to him about Napoli’s interest. I wouldn’t mind if he moved to Napoli in Italy, living in Pozzuoli I could see him more often.
“My feeling is that he is more likely to end up in Germany: he is ready to make the leap, going to the Bundesliga the pace is less long. The Austrian football of Salzburg is similar to that of the Bundesliga.
“Arriving in Italy would involve changes and periods of adaptation from a tactical point of view.”
Arsenal or the Premier League was not even mentioned despite being mentioned in news outlets for the past few months straight. Szoboszlai is still only 20 years old and is being monitored by a number of European outfits.
His record of 5 goals and 9 assists in just 13 appearances will give you an idea about his attacking pedigree. Arsenal will be eager to get to him quickly as his release clause is well within their means at £22.5 million.
Mikel Arteta wanted to strike a deal for Lyon’s Houssem Auoar last summer but failed. His next target will be Red Bull Salzburg’s playmaker who has been developing at a meteoric rate.
