During the winter transfer window, Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo, an attacker for Japan, is a target for Arsenal. According to Fichajes, they are getting ready to make a €45 million bid to sign the Japanese international. It would be fascinating to see whether the Spanish team is prepared to sell him for less than the €60 million release clause in his contract.

The previous season, Arsenal dispatched scouts to observe Kubo. Recently, the two teams cooperated on the transfer of Martin Zubimendi, and Arsenal will try to leverage their agreements with the Spanish team to complete the move. In recent weeks, Kubo and Tottenham have also been connected. Arsenal may find great value in acquiring the Japanese attacker.

Because of his versatility, Kubo might be the perfect utility player for them, even if they have lately added additional depth to their offensive unit. Both core and flanking operations are within his capabilities. He will want to get on the scoring sheet and assist in creating opportunities for his teammates.

Arsenal set sights on Takefusa Kubo Summer target

During the summer, Arsenal spent more money than any other Premier League team because they prioritized building up their roster. The Gunners acquired a number of fresh players at competitive costs as part of their efforts to bolster the squad.

Madueke suffered a knee injury against Manchester City that would keep him out for about two months, ending his promising start to life. The Gunners manager believes there is still space for a wide attacker, though, as they are considering a move for Takefusa Kubo.

Given the investment they made in the summer, the thought of acquiring another wide attacker might not be popular right now. Furthermore, they may need to improve in other areas, including adding more depth to their midfield, which raises questions about whether they really need the €60 million La Liga winger.

Additionally, Kubo usually plays on their right wing, where Saka and Madueke provide Arsenal plenty of choices right now. Therefore, even though the club admires the €60 million La Liga winger, it seems doubtful that the Gunners would spend another enormous amount of money on the position.
