The crowd of 60,000+ fans were at the Camping World Stadium in Orland and Arsenal put on a show
In Florida, USA, Arsenal defeated London rivals Chelsea 4-0 with a display of free-flowing offensive football, including another goal from Gabriel Jesus.
Although the 20-year-old could have been better served throwing the ball to Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka forced Edouard Mendy into an early stop.
However, the Gunners would not regret the error when another Brazilian gave them the lead five minutes later. Trevoh Chalobah gave the ball away to Granit Xhaka with a sloppy pass out of the back.
Gabriel Jesus scored his fourth goal in three preseason games after the Arsenal midfielder sent a first-time pass to him. Gabriel Jesus coolly hoisted the ball over the advancing Mendy.
Another cheap turnover, this one from a Mendy clearing, added to Chelsea’s problems. Martinelli inserted Martin degaard into the game, and he took one touch before doubling the advantage with a shot across the goal.
Chelsea looked disjointed throughout the whole game, with Masson Mount coming closest for the Blues when he struck the post with an outswinging attempt just before halftime.
Following a Mendy save (although there was more than a whiff of offside), Saka would score to give Arsenal a 3-0 lead. Substitute Sambi Lokonga would then make it 4-0 in extra time to seal the victory.
