The young winger has caught the eyes of many with his performances on the left wing. He has scored one goal this campaign and laid out on crucial assist in the Premier League.
Saka’s emergence has been a breath of fresh air for Arsenal due to their recent troubles on the wings. Reiss Nelson does not look like a finished product just yet but Saka certainly has the boots to fill into the senior side right now.
“I think he’s working and improving, being mature and also playing matches in front of each player and each team as tonight against Manchester United,” said Emery after the 1-1 draw against Man Utd.
“But his work is natural and he is improving. He is helping us now as an important player. We are going to work with him with calm, with patience, but if he deserves to take minutes and to take confidence for helping us with his performance, that is fantastic for us.”
Saka’s rise has been so rapid that he is yet to be accepted into the senior dressing room in the Arsenal training centre in London Colney. Youngsters usually have to get permission from the first team pros but he still wears his kit in the youth club room. Of course, there is no doubt he will find a spot next to Aubameyang and Pepe soon enough.
