Arsenal Advised to Pass on Raheem Sterling Amid Summer Transfer Speculation

Arsenal have been advised to steer clear of signing Raheem Sterling from Chelsea this summer, despite ongoing speculation linking the England international with a move to the Emirates.

The 29-year-old winger’s future at Stamford Bridge is uncertain after he was left out of the squad for Chelsea’s season opener against Manchester City, fueling rumors of a potential exit.

Former Arsenal and Chelsea star Emmanuel Petit has voiced his concerns about the prospect of Sterling joining Mikel Arteta’s side.

Petit, known for his no-nonsense views, believes Sterling’s inconsistency makes him an unsuitable addition to the Gunners’ squad.

“Sterling has had his moments, but he lacks the consistency needed at a top club like Arsenal. Arteta is building a team of young, hungry players, and Sterling doesn’t fit that mold,” Petit remarked.

Sterling’s struggles since his move to Chelsea have not gone unnoticed. Despite being a seasoned Premier League player with 82 caps for England, his performances at Stamford Bridge have often been below expectations.

The winger’s form has raised questions about whether he can still deliver at the highest level, making a potential switch to Arsenal seem less appealing.

Adding to the uncertainty, Sterling’s wage demands could be a stumbling block for any interested clubs. With Chelsea looking to trim their squad, the Blues might be eager to offload Sterling, but Arsenal appear to have other priorities.

Instead of focusing on Sterling, Arsenal are reportedly eyeing other attacking options to bolster their squad.

The club has been linked with a number of wingers, including Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman, as they seek to provide support and competition for Bukayo Saka on the right flank.

As the transfer window progresses, Arsenal fans will be keen to see how the club navigates their summer business.

But if Petit’s advice is anything to go by, Sterling might not be part of the Gunners’ plans this season.
