Arsenal have been linked with a move towards Marco Asensio.

The Spaniard has been linked with a move to the Emirates and will likely leave Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.

He has entered into the final 12 months of his contract with Real Madrid and a lot of other Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation.

But Arsenal has likes of Emile Smith Rowe, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka in their squad and Asensio would struggle for minutes if he makes a move to the Emirates.

Even club legend Kevin Campbell believes Arteta doesn’t need Asensio at the moment.

He said: “Not really.

“I don’t see much sense in that one if I am honest.

“Asensio is a very good player. He has been an excellent squad player at Real Madrid. Whenever he has come in he has done a job. He has not let anybody down.

“He knows where the goal is and has a sweet left foot.

“I don’t see where he is going to fit in at Arsenal though. For me, that one will amount to nothing more. I can’t see him coming.”
