There could be a change at right-back next season at Arsenal.
Fans are no longer in favour of Hector Bellerin and all sources point to him potentially leaving in the summer.
If Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar manage to raise some funds from his transfer, they are likely to opt for a replacement. Cedric Soares has deputised in the position quite well but Arsenal will need an overall stronger presence.
Former Gunner, Kevin Campbell believes Arsenal should pursue Achraf Hakimi. Inter Milan are in a dire financial crunch and are looking to offload a few star names. Hakimi could be made available at a bargain price despite signing for the Nerazzurri last summer.
Campbell told Football Insider, “Arsenal are in the market for a right-back and Hakimi is a brilliant player. I think the club will tread very carefully when they look who to sign this summer.
“Will Inter Milan even sell Hakimi? They are looking great. Going after players that are performing at the peak is always difficult. If the club see him as the best choice though they have got to go all out for him.”
Even if Inter plan on selling Hakimi, the 23-year-old won’t come cheap. He was signed for nearly €40m and Inter will hope to raise that same amount if not more. He has a contract until June 2024 and is highly valued in the market right now. Arsenal are not exactly flush with cash themselves to spend exorbitantly on one player.
