Ferdi Kadioglu, a left back for Fenerbahce, is apparently becoming more difficult to sign for Arsenal. The Turkish media has reported that the Gunners are willing to pay Fenerbahce’s requested fee and are currently in intensive negotiations with the player’s representatives.
When journalist Sacha Tavolieri first reported Arsenal’s interest in Kadioglu, she did not specify that formal negotiations with Fenerbahce had not yet begun. However, Turkish publication Türkiye has subsequently revealed that Arsenal is in talks with the midfielder and is pressing for a deal to be finalized. Arsenal’s scouts were intrigued with the player, and it was suggested last month that they would make an offer.
Arsenal can easily afford the €25 million Fenerbahce valuation placed on the 24-year-old Turkish international. But according to Takvim, another Turkish daily, the Turkish club may be requesting a bigger payment of €30 million.
Turkey superstar has agreed terms and could be next surprising transfer
According to today’s Express, Arsenal and Manchester United will battle for Ferdi Kadioglu, the full-back for Fenerbahce. United will need to cover Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia at left back, as Kadioglu can play on either side of the defense. Despite having a breakthrough summer with his country in Germany, the sources claim that the Turkey full-back has agreed terms with the North Londoners. Nevertheless, the move would raise questions at this point.
Although terms may have been arranged with him before the Calafiori deal materialised, FourFourTwo finds it interesting that he is still linked to Arsenal at this point because there isn’t a clear spot for him in the team.
