Pundit excited about Arsenal’s new transfer target

Pundit wants Arsenal to pursue a deal for David Raya.

Brentford goalkeeper David Raya has denied two contract extension offers this season and is expected to leave this summer.

The Spanish goalkeeper was undoubtedly one of the best keepers in the Premier League last season.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank is ready to sell Raya to the highest bidder and is asking £40m for the Spaniard’s services.

Stan Collymore claims Raya’s arrival at Emirates would help Arsenal reach unattainable heights.

“I really like the thought of Arsenal signing Brentford’s David Raya,” Collymore in an exclusive interview.“I have been really critical of the Gunners under Mikel Arteta before but this is a decision I really like.

“Aaron Ramsdale did really well last season, especially during the first half of the campaign, but you never want your keeper to become too comfortable in that position. You always want to keep them on their toes and provide as much quality competition as you can, and there is no doubt that Raya would do exactly that.”

Folarin Balogun is more than happy to offload him for a fee

Folarin Balogun’s future is uncertain at Arsenal. The Gunners and Inter Milan are looking to do a deal for Folarin Balogun. The Serie A giants made him their first-choice striker signing this summer.

Balogun had a decent season in 2022/23 when he spent the campaign on loan at Reims. His performance have the attention of Inter who are keen on him.

Inter Milan are working on buying a new striker and their board believes Balogun is good enough for the team. He will be the replacement for Romelu Lukaku who has reached Chelsea.

The West London club is more than happy to offload him for a fee, but they are struggling to find an agreement with the Serie A giants.

Football Italia admits Inter have now hatched a plan to ensure he joins them, with the Nerazzurri preparing a loan move with an obligation to buy worth 35m euros.

According to reports, Arsenal plans to launch an aggressive last-minute manoeuvre to sabotage Djibril Sow’s probable move from Eintracht Frankfurt to Lazio

According to Calciomercato, the Switzerland international has made an impression in the Bundesliga and had been poised to sign with Lazio, but it now appears Arsenal is actively joining the competition.

Even though it appeared that Sow’s deal with Lazio was about to be finalised, the article also references interest from Sevilla, suggesting that Sow’s future may still be in doubt.

The article claims that Maurizio Sarri had been looking to replace Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in his midfield, but that his plans may now be derailed by Arsenal.

It is unclear why exactly Sow is now becoming Arsenal’s top priority as Declan Rice and Kai Havertz have already improved the team’s midfield this summer.

As Fabrizio Romano noted in his Caught Offside column, the Gunners would probably do better to concentrate on strengthening in defence or attack at this time, with Brentford custodian David Raya also very much on their list.

Neymar would be a valuable addition to Arsenal’s squad.

Arsenal should target PSG forward Neymar in the summer as per ex-Arsenal player Julio Baptista. Baptista played for Arsenal on loan during the 2006/2007 season from Real Madrid. He has been closely following the club’s progress.

Baptista admits that the Brazilian forward would be a valuable addition to Arsenal’s squad. He is a true striker and has the goal-scoring ability.

Baptista tells Goal.com: “Why not? Arsenal is one of the best clubs in Europe. We know that the last eight or so years, Arsenal have not produced their best or been as competitive.

“But now, with Arteta, Arsenal have something different. They have started to construct something powerful. Why not? Maybe this could be the key.

“In Brazil we say that you have the house, you have everything, and you just need the key to open it.

“Maybe Neymar is the key to open and complete everything at Arsenal. He is an incredible player.”

David Raya’s contract with Brentford expires next summer.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper has denied two contract extension from Brentford this season and is widely expected to leave this summer.

He has been one of the most consistent goalkeepers in the Premier League and is looking for a new challenge this summer.

The Bees are looking somewhere in the region of £40m for the Spaniard’s services.

Aaron Ramsdale is already Arsenal’s No.1 goalkeeper whereas Matt Turner is playing second fiddle to the England international.

But Arteta wants to bring the Spaniard to bring high quality for first-choice keeper Ramsdale.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank is ready to sell Raya to the highest bidder.

‘I hope [we get an offer], we are waiting to sell,’ Frank told NBC Sports.

‘David would like to go. That’s fine for us. If a club want to buy [him] they just need to find out the price. So I guess it should be simple, but apparently it’s very difficult!’

Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta strikes a deal with Manchester United, which gives Arsenal the opportunity to sign Mohammed Kudus of Ajax

One move in the thrilling and frequently unpredictable world of football transfers can set off a domino effect. An unexpected chance has presented itself for Arsenal as a result of Manchester United agreeing to a contract with Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta.

In addition to United’s agreement with Hojlund, Arsenal has signed Mohammed Kudus from Ajax.

Many have seen the Ghanaian striker’s exceptional exploits, and it looks that the Gunners are eager to sign him to a contract in North London. The fact that Manchester United, one of their primary rivals for Kudus, is nearly finished with the transfer of Henrik Hojlund may perhaps tip the scales in Arsenal’s favour.

Arsenal’s pursuit of Kudus might encounter fewer obstacles as a result of United’s resources being committed to that deal. Arsenal has long been interested in the Ghanaian international, who has been a reliable performer for Ajax, but Manchester United’s recent interest seems to confuse matters.

Kudus is a fantastic asset for any club because of his versatility and ability to score goals. Securing Kudus might be a crucial move for the Gunners as they attempt to strengthen their team for the upcoming season. The route for Arsenal to sign the Ajax forward appears to be clearer now that Manchester United’s interest in Kudus has diminished as a result of their emphasis on Henrik Hojlund and the fact that they only saw Kudus as a player they would move for if a deal for Hojlund couldn’t be reached.

AC Milan close to signing Arsenal academy graduate Yunus Musah this summer

Yunus Musah’s transfer from Valencia is now almost finalised, with AC Milan poised to sign the player

According to Fabrizio Romano, Valencia and AC Milan are nearing an agreement on a Yunus Musah transfer, with only the last few elements remaining to be worked out.

After reaching a personal agreement with Milan a month ago, Musah has been pressing Valencia to approve his departure for days, and the deal is now nearing completion.

According to recent rumours, Milan had reportedly made a proposal of €18 million for the former Arsenal youth prospect, but Valencia was delaying making a choice. Valencia hoped for a few million in bonuses to bring the total up to €20 million. Relevo had earlier in the window indicated that Valencia were open to selling Musah this summer despite having previously ruled it out.

Valencia is allegedly dissatisfied with how the 20-year-old has performed thus far and is especially worried about how he reacts when things aren’t going well for the squad. The club is worried that Musah’s value will continue to decline because Valencia is now performing poorly and there is a good likelihood that they won’t improve considerably next season. They consequently assigned him a price tag of €25 million. While it doesn’t appear like they will receive exactly that much, a transfer of €20 million wouldn’t be too far off.

Arsenal, Chelsea, and Inter Milan have all been keeping tabs on Musah since January, according to Fabrizio Romano’s May report. At the time, none of the three teams made a formal move suggestion, and nothing appears to have changed in that regard. Following Musah’s World Cup performances in December, David Ornstein of The Athletic stated that a number of Premier League clubs were considering the acquisition.

Former Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is allegedly ready to accept a deal with Nottingham Forest to play in the Premier League once more

Despite been unsuccessful in his attempts to mend fences with the Gunners, Alexis is apparently prepared to accept an offer from Nottingham Forest.

Former Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is allegedly ready to accept a deal with Nottingham Forest to play in the Premier League once more. Despite been unsuccessful in his attempts to mend fences with the Gunners, Alexis is apparently prepared to accept an offer from Nottingham Forest.

The Chilean forward had his sights set on Arsenal since, arguably, it was where his career had reached its zenith. Arsenal’s steadfast dedication to youth growth and sustainability, though, resulted in a hard pass on the veteran forward’s hopes.

Now, it appears he will sign a contract with Nottingham Forest, which will allow him to return to England, where he played for Arsenal and scored 80 goals with 45 assists, as well as Manchester United, where he scored five goals and had nine assists. Last season, Alexis had a productive time playing for Olympique de Marseille, scoring 14 goals in 35 games.

The 34-year-old Chilean international is apparently willing to give up Champions League football and substantial salaries to return to England’s top division after unsuccessful stints at Manchester United and Inter Milan as well as a refusal to renew his contract with Marseille.

Mikel Arteta admits to more signings this summer

Mikel Arteta claims that current Arsenal squad is not sustainable.

The Gunners have made three signings, with Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice all moving to the Emirates.

Arsenal have spent over £200m over these three signings and currently have a 30-man first-team squad that needs to be addressed.

Mikel Arteta wants a number of sales to sanction this summer as he admits the current squad is bloated.

So far, only Granit Xhaka and Pablo Mari have left the Emirates with a transfer fee whereas Ainsley Maitland-Niles departed on a free transfer.

There is a month to go until the summer window slams shut and Arteta would want some outgoings to occur before that.

“We have 30 players here which is unsustainable, and obviously the market is still open,” Arteta told reporters. “Things can happen – but we are prepared.

“We are really happy with the squad we have at the moment; we obviously have improvements to make in terms of what we want to do in games, and we have to do that. Overall, I’m really pleased with the team.”

Attacker Mohammed Kudus of Ajax and Ghana “prefers” a move to Arsenal over Chelsea, another Premier League opponent

Kudus had a fantastic season in 2022–2023. He finished the season with 18 goals and seven assists for Ajax across all competitions after starring for Ghana at the World Cup.

The 22-year-old’s contract expires in two years, therefore Ajax could do better to sell him now rather than wait until his value starts to drop. He has been closely associated with Manchester United over the past year, but it appears that Arsenal and Chelsea are now in the lead in the fight to recruit him before the 2019–20 campaign.

In relation to a potential transfer to Chelsea, it was stated earlier this week that Kudus was “close” to “agreeing personal terms,” but according to Football Transfers, he has “expressed a strong preference for joining Arsenal” over its London rivals. According to reports, “personal terms with the Gunners would not be an issue” and the fact that Arsenal is playing in the Champions League is “a prominent aspect in his decision.” Kudus “would be happy” to join Chelsea, but if he had to choose between the two teams, he “would rather head to North London,” according to reports.

According to a another report from the similarly untrustworthy Fichajes, Chelsea is allegedly preparing a “crazy offer to steal the signing of Kudus from Arsenal.” According to reports, the star player for Ajax has emerged as “the central protagonist of an exciting conflict between two Premier League giants like Chelsea and Arsenal.”

According to reports, Chelsea is “willing to offer a juicy €45 million to acquire him,” and this offer would “give them a significant advantage” over Arsenal, who “need to generate revenue through sales before making a concrete offer.” According to recent reporting by journalist Ben Jacobs, Chelsea is looking into Kudus as a potential Conor Gallagher replacement.
