Jack Wilshere to hold talks with Unai Emery

The midfielder’s contract has run down

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere contract has expired at the end of the season and he is free to sign anywhere on a free transfer. He has been heavily linked with a summer exit in the last few months as the club have been in talks with him over a new deal but failed to reach an agreement.

Wilshere, who has been at the club since 9, has made it clear that his preferred option is to stay at his boyhood club. Even Arsene Wenger expressed his desire to keep him at the club beyond this season.

The 26 year old has been offered a new deal but would have to take a 25 per cent pay-cut on his £120,000-a-week wages but he is unhappy with the incentivised deal being offered.

The England International have already been linked to host of clubs with Juventus leading the race. According to reports in Italy, they have already offered him a new 4 year contract.

He has also been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain and his representative have already offered him to the Ligue 1 champions. But it is highly unlikely that Thomas Tuchel will make a move for him.

The Turin giants are apparently keen to pair him with ex-Liverpool ace Emre Can in the centre of the pitch next season.

Jack Wilshere will hold talks with new Arsenal manager Unai Emery in what will decide his Gunners future, according to  the Sun .

The Spaniard is a big admirer of the English midfielder and sees him as key player for the club. He will try and tempt the him to stay by laying out his vision for the player and the Gunners.

Unai Emery has been appointed as the new manager of the Gunners and is expected to be very busy in the summer transfer window in order to strengthen the squad for next season.

One of the main priorities of them is to overhaul their defense in the summer transfer window. Laurent Koscielny is out for six months, Per Mertesacker has retired and Shkodran Mustafi has had a difficult season.

They have already completed the signing of Stephan Lichsteiner on a free transfer and the former Paris Saint-Germain manager is still ken to add more defensive reinforcements.

Arsenal have contacted Juventus about the availability of defenders Medhi Benatia and Daniele Rugani, according to  Calciomercato .

Rugani made his debut for the club in 2015 and has impressed with the limited game-time he got. He is still trying to nail down a spot in the first team but has seen his playing time increase over the past year, making 26 appearances.

The Premier League giants have been a long time admirer of the 23 year old but it would be very tough for them to sign him as the Turin side considers him a key part of their future. His representative Davide Torchia also claimed that the club have no intention of selling him.

Benatia is more likely to leave the Serie A giants as he struggled for game time last season. His poor relation with Max Allegri could also be one of the reasons why he could decide to leave and according to reports the club is also willing to listen to offers from potential suitors.

Aaron Ramsey hints at Arsenal stay

The Gunners to make a shock move for Premier League superstar.

Arsenal have reportedly launched a shock move to sign Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

The Belgian superstar has already rejected two contract offers to remain at Old Trafford.

The Prospect of Fellaini signing for the Gunners would have seemed unthinkable under former manager Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal’s way of football doesn’t suit his age and playing style, but under new manager Unai Emery things could be different.

The new Gunners boss had been keen to sign the Belgium international when he was Paris Saint Germain manager itself.

His representatives are due to meet with club officials this week.

The fact he is available on a free transfer is also attractive to Arsenal.

Since Emery will be given transfer budget of just £70m this summer after spending heavily in the last two transfer windows.

If Arsenal manage to pull off the deal for the Belgian superstar, things could get very interesting.

It remains to be seen whether the club will move make a move for Fellaini before the World Cup.

Even after three weeks after his final game in charge of Arsenal but Arsène Wenger is still unsure on what to do next.

The Frenchman insisted he would not go into retirement.

Whether or not that means he continues his life as a manager remains to be seen.

In a recent interview with Telefoot, Wenger revealed:

“Do I still want to coach? That’s the question I have to answer in the next fifteen days.”

“Today I still want to coach, but I do not know if I want to embark on a new crazy challenge because football requires total commitment, I to take a little step back, which I have never done.

“I have to see how I’m going to live without the adrenaline of matches, without leading and without sharing emotions with others.”

Arsenal make enquiry for Bundesliga star

Arsenal make enquiry to sign Bundesliga’s highly rated defender Benjamin Pavard.

The Gunners are now being linked with a move for French defender Benjamin Pavard.

English giants were recently linked with Caglar Soyuncu – who is very similar to Ben Pavard.

Benjamin Pavard joined the spotlight a few years ago and now he is currently plying his trade in the Bundesliga at Stuttgart.

The 22-year-old played every minute of Stuttgart’s league campaign last season.

After an injury to Arsenal’s Laurent Koscielny, Pavard was named in an extremely strong French squad for the upcoming World Cup.

Pavard could just may well replace Koscielny at Arsenal as well. But the young centre back is highly rated across Europe and will reportedly cost in the same kind of region as Soyuncu, £30-40 million.

According to L’Equipe, the London club made an enquiry about landing Pavard earlier this year, with the club on the hunt for defensive reinforcements ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

5. Jamie Vardy rejected joining Arsenal

Players who rejected Arsenal Jamie Vardy

Jamie Vardy defied all the odds to become one of the best strikers in the Premier League. The now 31-year-old was playing for non-league team Fleetwood Town before joining Leicester City for just £1 milllion in 2012.

Vardy broke a record when he scored in 11 consecutive Premier League matches in Leicester’s Premier League title winning campaign in 2015/16.

Arsenal came calling after that season and Arsene Wenger reportedly triggered the Englishman’s release clause which was £22 million. But Vardy rejected the chance to join Arsenal and chose to stay at Leicester City instead.

Vardy cited playing time as one of the reasons why he chose not to join the Gunners.

4. Vincent Kompany rejected Arsenal

Players who rejected Arsenal Vincent Kompany

Vincent Kompany is one of the best centre-backs on the planet on his day. The problem is, he’s been mostly injured for the past three years.

Kompany broke through into Belgian team Anderlecht at just 17-years-old. From there, it was obvious he was going to be a top defender. So Arsene Wenger came calling when it was obvious Arsenal needed a good defender. But Kompany decided it wasn’t the right time to join a top club as he felt it may halt his progress. So the 20-year-old joined Bundesliga club Hamburg instead.

Kompany went on to join Manchester City in 2008 and became a legend for them as they started their journey to Premier League dominance.

However, after the previous season in 2012/13, it was apparent that Suarez was unhappy with Liverpool’s inability to win trophies. Arsenal were interested in him and Wenger decided to make a perplexing bid of £40,000,001 to land him. Liverpool players such as Steven Gerrard persuaded Suarez to stay at Liverpool which in hindsight was a good decision.

Suarez went on to join Barcelona after the 2013/14 season and is now one of the best strikers in the planet.

However, he could have joined Arsenal back in 2000. After playing well for his hometown club Malmo in 1999 scoring goals, many top clubs were interested in him.

Wenger reportedly invited Zlatan to see him in North London and even offered the Swede the number nine shirt. But when Wenger asked Zlatan to partake in a trial at the club, Zlatan was offended and outraged. The Swede famously stated “Zlatan does not do auditions”.
