The Gunners have been linked with a number of players this summer.
So who are the stars and what is the likelihood of their transfer?
Jonathan David – Gent – £22m
Arsenal, Barcelona and Everton are in the hunt for this highly rated forward. Barcelona and Arsenal are only looking at him as backup options. It is likely that Everton will end up with him.
Samuel Umtiti – FC Barcelona – £46m
The Gunners will have to fight of Chelsea and Manchester United. Chelsea’s chase is not serious. However, United are ready to offer him a higher package. But the prospect of playing stylish football is only at the Emirates. It might be a tough choice for Umtiti as he also might have to stay back if Barcelona cannot find a good alternative for him.
Carlos Soler – Valencia – £36m
Arsenal are the only club so far interested in him. Arteta is a huge fan. However, the Gunners are not okay with the price tag on him.
Willian – Chelsea – free agent
Willian has not yet left Chelsea but the transfer talk is going nowhere. This has brought in Arsenal and Spurs into the picture with the Gunners looking less likely as Spurs boss Mourinho has a big influence on the winger.
Dajan Lovren – Liverpool – unknown fee
Liverpool want him gone and Arsenal want a squad player. However, Lovren is error prone which is why the Gunners may back out.
Luka Jovic – Real Madrid – unknown fee
He has not been able to settle at Madrid, but the Gunners will only look at him if they cannot keep Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Chris Smalling – Manchester United – £25 million
United’s defender out on loan at Roma is a good player with experience. However, his price tag will put off many clubs including Arsenal.
