One of Arsenal’s loaned out players, Takuma Asano could be sold in the upcoming summer to increase Unai Emery’s transfer budget.
It is being said that the Spaniard will only be offered £45m to make all the necessary additions next season. It only makes sense for him to get rid of all the dead weight to bring in newer faces ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
Asano was signed from Sanfreece Hiroshima in 2016 for £3.6m. At the time, the 24-year-old looked like a highly promising prospect but eventually did not get to make a single appearance for the Gunners first team.
Instead, he has spent time out on loan at Germany with clubs like VfB Stuttgart and now TSG Hannover. The Japanese international has managed just one goal and one assist in 13 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit this season.
An article from Peiner Allgemeine Zeitung (via the Daily Cannon) claims that the player only has one more year left in his contract with Arsenal and Hannover do have the option to keep him permanently for £2.57m (€3m).
Arsenal have learnt their lesson in keeping player in the final season of their contracts and selling Asano is at the very top of their agenda. The player clearly is not wanted by the new Gunners boss, so it is unlikely that he will be offered a new deal either.
