Arsenal are holding out for bids of £15m for Folarin Balogun, as per reports.
Unfortunately, the Gunners are being forced into selling him since his contract is due to expire in one year.
One of the most hyped named coming out of the Arsenal academy, Balogun is being targeted by a number of English clubs. Brentford, Southampton, Brighton & Hove Albion and quite recently, Sheffield United are vying for his signature.
The Blades offered a £3m bid with several add-ons. Arsenal thumped back with a price tag of £15m which will be acceptable in structured payments. Sheffield have been left stunned by Arsenal’s demands since Balogun’s contract is running out.
There are also interest from Serie A giants, AC Milan and clubs in Germany. The 19-year-old scored 10 goals in 15 appearances for the Arsenal U23s last term and 28 in 28 games, the season before that.
Arsenal also turned down an offer of £5m back in January. Although they are drawing close to losing him for nothing, the Gunners board are holding strong on their demands. Surely, they are aiming to raise as much funds as they can to reinvest in the first team and Balogun’s sale could bank a decent amount.
