Emil Forsberg joined the German club RB Leipzig from Malmo FF on a three and a half year deal in January 2015. He has been a mainstay at the flanks since then and has developed himself as one of the best players in the league.
The winger was instrumental for the club in the 2016/2017 campaign as he helped them to finish second behind Bayern Munich in the league.
The Sweden International was a regular for the Bundesliga giants last season, scored 5 goals and assisted 4 in 33 appearances in all competitions. He also scored the club’s first ever goal in the Champions League against Monaco.
The 26 year old has been impressive for Sweden in the World Cup and helped his team to reach the Quarter-finals, where they will face England.
The player has been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer and he even admitted that he is a big fan of the Premier League, sparking interest from the clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United.
Former Sweden defender Johan Mjallby has warned off the Gunners a move for the Bundesliga ace as he doubts that he is a ready for a top Premier League club.
The former Celtic star told BetStars ahead of a quarter-final clash for Sweden against England at Russia 2018: “Emil Forsberg is the one player the team rely on to do the unexpected for Sweden.
“He’s a very good player, but I’m not sure if he would be able to break into one of the top sides in England.
“He’s done well in Germany, but the top four in England are very good sides.
“He’s a good player and it will be good for him to be playing against top-class players, but it’s hard to say if he would break into one of the top four sides in England at the moment.”
