The sporting director of Arsenal, Andrea Berta, has already made the decision to fire a member of the Gunners this summer, and it is highly probable that he will become one of the many players who seem destined to leave N5.

The arrival of Berta may mark the beginning of a significant makeover at the Emirates Stadium, as Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, expects a busy first summer transfer window under the Italian’s direction.

Up to seven significant additions, valued at up to £300 million, could be made before the start of the upcoming Premier League season, according to previous reports from GiveMeSport. These additions would include a new striker, left-winger, right-winger, full-back, backup goalie, and two midfielders.

According to reports, Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko is ready to depart the club, with a German team topping the list of prospective destinations. The Telegraph reports that Borussia Dortmund are the frontrunners to sign him. Dortmund has made Zinchenko their primary goal, but they are also keeping an eye on Ben Chilwell, who is higher on the German club’s list of priorities.

Zinchenko is set to leave the club

A combination of injuries and competition for left-back spots, with Riccardo Calafiori, Jurrien Timber, and Jakub Kiwior all being preferred over him, have made it extremely difficult for the Ukraine international to get playing time.

According to journalist Graeme Bailey of The Boot Room, Arsenal will trade Zinchenko this summer as a result, and Ajax prodigy Jorrel Hato is expected to replace him. “Zinchenko will be allowed to leave, although that will be easier said than done considering his wages and Tierney is going,” according to Bailey.

“Jorrel Hato is still a player they adore—they’ve worked tirelessly on him for years, having followed him since he was 16 years old. He is also popular in Liverpool. It wouldn’t surprise me if Hato visits England this year.”

Arsenal has had serious ties to Hato since 2023 (The Athletic), with the teenage Dutch sensation capable of playing both left-back and left-sided centre-back. Hato has also grown in leaps and bounds since then, becoming a regular for the Eredivisie team and racking up six assists in the top division this season.
