According to Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla, Arsenal is prepared to offer Jakub Kiwior and €50 million in exchange for Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman. The 26-year-old, though, is coveted by Liverpool, so the Gunners will have fierce competition.

Arsenal hopes their bid will be sufficient to entice the Serie A club to do business with them, despite Paris Saint-Germain also being connected. The Nigerian international is valued at almost €70 million by Atalanta, who are considering offering him an upgraded contract that would bring in €3.5 million annually.

Lookman did not train on Wednesday either, and Sport Italia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà is adamant that this was due to his refusal to take part.

Arsenal fighting Liverpool to sign Atlanta’s star

Spain-based publications now state that Ademola Lookman, a talented player for Atalanta, is another wide player they are eyeing. With 45 games last season, Lookman scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists, thus it’s thought that Arsenal and Liverpool are vying for his services. According to various estimates, the former Everton star is valued at almost £34 million. According to Havertz, specifically ROOF, he is represented by the same agency.

Given that Lookman was born in London, Liverpool is reportedly monitoring the issue as well. Lookman is keen to join the Premier League. Luckily for Atalanta, manager Gian Piero Gasperini is rumored to be a Kiwior fan. Giorgio Scalvini recently had a significant knee injury, thus Gasperini has to recruit a defender.

If Arsenal could make it work, that would be an incredible trade. Nevertheless, Gabriel Jesus isn’t concerned about Arsenal acquiring a new forward because he has his own strategy for the team right now.
